The Rye Reach welcomes pitches that make bread, baking, or fermentation clearer, more interesting, or more alive to its cultural setting. We are interested in focused ideas with a definite reader and a subject that can be explained without inflated promises.
What we welcome
Pitch clear explainers about flour, dough behavior, fermentation, shaping, ovens, or bread traditions. A strong proposal might untangle one confusing baking term, show how to read a dough cue, or place a bread form in its proper context. We welcome fresh angles and careful writing, not generic lists or claims that one method works for everyone.
A useful pitch
Tell us the working idea, why it matters to readers, what the piece will cover, and what makes your approach suited to it. Note any commercial interests or material relationships relevant to the proposal. A short outline is helpful when the subject needs careful structure; finished drafts are not required for an initial pitch.
How to send it
Use the Contact page and choose the editorial question option to submit a proposal. Include enough detail for us to understand the focus and intended scope. Sending a pitch does not guarantee publication, and we cannot promise a response by a particular date.
